DIALECTIC presented by bP 2 HOURS A WEEK OF GLOBAL MUSIC WANDERINGS A finalist in the 'excellence in music programming' category at the 2007 CBAA Awards, Dialectic is a 2-hour radio show airing on the CRN twice weekly. Originating from Edge in Hobart mid-2005, the program is now produced out of the Triple R studios in Melbourne and hosted by Brendan Palmer, AKA 'bP'. Focusing on the modern end of the global and multi-lingual music scene, the program features mainly DJ sets done by local and international guest DJs and radio presenters who have a leaning towards the world of global music. In most cases the talent is interviewed alongside their DJ set either via phone or face to face. DJ sets are recorded in studios, sent from overseas, or captured at Australian events giving the show an incredibly diverse & vibrant sonic feel. Contributors from many cultures, generations and linguistic backgrounds are actively involved in the program.

The History In 2005 Moses Iten was encouraged by the mainland Uber crew to start a radio show on Hobart's EDGE RADIO. He called it DIALECTIC... For a while he collaborated with 'Cluster collective' main-man Angus Rofe before Angus left for Japan Moses then won an Edge station award and in early 2006 moved to Melbourne putting the show's continuation under threat... Hooking up with long term radio and music revolution collaborator bP (Brendan Palmer), and with the technical assistance of 3RRR, DIALECTIC was able to continue to broadcasting 2 hours a week... In 2006 sakamoiz moved on to other projects and bP adopted the show as his own, evolving it's production style alongside featuring a zillion guest DJ sets and international interviews in the process. In late 2007 DIALECTIC and Palmer were nominated and short listed for a CBAA award in the category or Excellence in Music Programming and "got the bronze", beaten only by radio programs that had been on air for 15 years or more... Hence, alongside Edge Radio, DIALCETIC is now available on the Communty Radio Network satellite.This is captured and re-broadcast by many community radio stations in Australia.
