LIVE SETS

'Indigenous Sound Surge'

by Mashy P, Charlie McMahon, Wire MC, Choo Choo & Morganics

Ex-UK sonic activist Mashy P spends much of his time working at a grass roots cultural level and with indigenous artists around this land, also wandering out into the desert on occasion with like minded souls... His collaborations with ex-Gondwanaland performer Charlie McMahon explore the repetitious rhythmic connections between the ancient world of the Didgeridoo and modern electronic music. Likewise the lyrically wise Hip-Hop of CuzCo (Wire MC's project with Argentine rapper Choo Choo) and Morganics arouse consciousness and constructivity within the local community, alongside Mashy P's desire to celebrate diversity.

Moving between Singhalese funk, bhangra & dhol drum loops into digi-dancehall, computer game music and eccentric covers of western pop done in jap-gibberish, this set will rock our world.

This performance will be unique as it will feature a one-off collaboration with Melbourne based Macedonian MC Vulk Makedonski, continuing to explore his linguistic roots.
